About Our Featured Guest:

She serves as the founder of a non-profit, Young Eventions Group Inc. which help women and families deal with issues that impact them daily and expose them to resources and information that will improve and transform their lives through workshops, conferences and special events. The Women 2 Women Inaugural Conference, Intergeneration Life Lessons & Legacies featured the phenomenal Dr. Maya Angelou (her sister friend for over 35 years and mentor), The first conference drew over 600 women with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Maya Angelou Teen Center at the Andrew and Walter Young Family YMCA.

Sonjia has been married for 40 years to dentist and prominent businessman, Dr. Walter F. Young (Brother of Ambassador Andrew Young), and is the proud mother of four children, Walton, Tonya, Tammy and Nikki, and the grandmother of four grandchildren Danielle, Marshall, Jonathan and Trinity Valentine.  In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, golf, tai chi and helping young people succeed. Sonjia gives God all of the praise for her successes in life.
