Awakening from The Dream: A Plan for Self-Determination

With the recent examples of the never-ending violence against us and the obvious neglect and abandonment of this government to address the pressing issues that mostAfrican Americans face daily... from colonial times, to the establishment of the United States of America... through slavery, Reconstruction, Jim Crow and the continued oppression of our people by those we mistakenly and blindly believe intend to make things specifically and significantly better for every one of us who came to this country in chains and not a passport or voluntarily.; it should be obvious that if things are going to really change for all of our people...If liberty and justice will be truly ours to enjoy and benefit from we must do it ourselves... and not rely on others to do it for us... Period.

We must completely separate ourselves from the oppressors that not only put us in this position centuries ago, but continues to assure that we remain on the bottom of society, as our ancestors were on the bottom of slave ships that brought them here, primarily from the West coast of Africa.

We remain people who only count at election time...giving those who keep us last, though we were first (except maybe for Native Americans), the right to keep us in a position of dependence in this modern form of slavery.

We are fed up with those in power keeping us waiting for our “one-day” while every other group, both majority and minority, have been and continue progressing “to-day”.

Today, we will be talking about how we can flip this age-old, tired script that we have been given, and begin writing our own story or self-determination and liberation.
