Open Forum: A Look At the Future of Black America

The future of our people falls on us, not on those who have oppressed us for centuries.

What we as a people must never forget is that, unlike others who came here with hopes of social and religious freedom, as well as economic prosperity, our people were came here on the bottom of slave ships... chained and bound... to serve, to work and to bring wealth and power to the Europeans that brought from Africa.

We were never meant to gain from our hard and tedious labor... we were never supposed to be equal with the white majority or to share in the bounty of this nation, even though our efforts were directly responsible for the power, wealth and prestige of this country possible.

Last, week we went over a comprehensive plan entitled, 

"African Americans: From Vision to Action" 

Tonight, I want to open up the program to discuss our strategy for sel-determination
