Join host Aqeela Sherrills and David Guizar w/ Special Guest Dr. Melina Abdullah, Professor and Chair of Pan-African Studies at California State University, Los Angeles, she is a Los Angeles County Human Relations Commission 2014 appointee, a womanist scholar-activist, an author, the Black Lives Matter-- Los Angeles chapter lead, she is co-host and co-producer of the weekly radio program Beautiful Struggle which airs on KPFK, part of the Pacifica radio network. Dr. Abdullah serves on the board of the Los Angeles African American Women’s Public Policy Institute amongst others and she is a recognized expert on race, gender, class, and social movements.
