She's been nominated as the Woman of the Year, awarded YWCA Advocate of the Year, awarded as the Grand Rapids Press Rising Health Hero and recognized as one of West Michigan's 50 Most Influential Women. Leslie King went from victim to warrior; coerced into prostitution as a young teen she battled internally and externally. Through the rough she overcame addiction and transformed her life-- dedicating it to serving men, women, and children to be free of the chains she once was bound in.
