On this episode join host Aqeela Sherrills and David Guizar for Survivors, Faith & Song. We will discuss the intersections of faith, music and service in connection to the healing journey of survivors. Our guest Pastor Tammy Turner shares her ministery through song, her family founded The Lighthouse Community Church on the corner of 103rd & Grape Street in the city of Watts circa 1981. A decade after the Community Lighthouse Church opened it's doors the family faced tragedy. Through faith and forgiveness The Community Lighthouse Church continues to provide services ranging from Thursday morning food giveaways, a program entitled "Jayden's Closet" which provides groceries and clothes, diapers and baby food for families, and Pastor Tammy's music ministry teaching children to play keyboard and sing.
