Welcome to Survivor's Speak Radio, our show tonight about addressing trauma in underserved communities and the impact of being LGBTQIA.  We will be joined by Storm Hopkins, who is a survivor and elected official of the Neighborhood Council in Watts.

Strom was born and raised in Soouth Cenral LA/Watts  area, Storm developed a passion for serving his  community as a result of growing up and being a direct witness of social inequalities and injustice.

Storm became an activist and advocate for change, Storm has poured his energy into Civic engagement via the Watts Neighborhood Council. Storm is currently the Vice Chair of the Neighborhood Council and is an outstanding leader in the community.

Storm's own trauma of being LGBTQIA in an underserved community add layers of depth to who he is and where his experiences has lead him. His story speaks volumes to what it mean to perserve and to tap in to your own personal trauma to find the healing thats within. 

We are honored to have Storm on tonight to educate and heal us with some understanding on addressing trauma in underserved communities and the impact on being LGBTQIA.
