Governor DeSantis signed a bill to take control of municipal services and development for the Reedy Creek Improvement District of Walt Disney World which had been independently operated since 1967.  The Governor renamed it the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, which formerly allowed Disney World to expand and operate at a high amount of autonomy over the area the last 50 yrs.  It will end Disney's long practice of taxing itsef to develop over 25k unincorporated acres between Osceola and Orange Counties.  The board will oversee sewage treatment and roads and how much Disney should pay for these services.  Traditionaly, Disney has exceeded state standards in overseeing this property.

The board, which has 5 DeSantis morally and culturally aligned appointees, which also serve as a moral arbitrator.   Critics think this is in direct opposition of Disney's backlash of a gender education bill DeSantis signed last Spring.

One of the appointees, Bridget Ziegler, a school board member, co founded Moms for Liberty, which laid the groundwork for Parental Rights in Education Act known to critics as the "Don't Say Gay" Bill.  Disney openly opposed this bill.  Ziegler's husband is the chairman of the state's Republican party.

The governor is trying to agenda set private companies to conform to his moral and idealistic belief system.  He has gone farther than any other recent Governor to set the moral tempo for his agenda.
