Tonight, on It's Real Talk Radio, we will be talking Karens! Over the past year and even more so recently, Karens have been a hot social media topic and no, not in a good way. Some of you may be asking yourself "What the hell is a Karen?" Well Wikipedia would tell you "A common stereotype is that of a racist white woman who uses her privilege to demand her own way at the expense of others." That sounds pretty accurate to us, as time and time again you see videos of White women speaking down on and making unnecessary and unreasonable demands against people, usually of color, but Karens even attack their own. You can find plenty of footage of White men and women arguing with Karens as they defend friends, neighbors or in some cases, complete strangers, from these cruel attacks.

Usually Karens are middle aged to elderly white women, but Karens come in all age groups. You can find Karens in their 20's, wreaking the same havoc as their older counterparts. Typical Karen behavior would be a neighbor knocking on your door and threatening to call the police because you're having a barbeque on a nice summer day and have guests and music in the backyard. She lives about 5 doors down and all of your other neighbors are fine, but Karen has to make her presence felt and rain down on your parade. After you don't comply to her demands, in typical Karen fashion, she calls the police and when the police arrive and realize how petty the call was, they go have a talk with Karen, ask her to not watste their time, and leave without further incident. Oh, but you better believe you haven't seen the last of Karen, as you have now made a sworn enemy!

So what about White men who display this same behavior? What do we call them? Some say Male Karens, some say Todd, some say Chad, the list is endless. Well tonight we'll be attempting to define an official name for the Karen's male counterparts. It Just Got Real!
