The looming shutdown and other issues

 As the countdown for the shutdown begins, new speaker Mike Johnson and members of his party are at odds again about his stopgap bill to help keep the country afloat. Republicans somehow cannot get out of their own way. Will they keep fighting and let the country falter, or will Speaker Johnson accept Democrats' help to pass his bill to keep the country operating until February 2024? Let's talk about it.
