Gone are the days when adults follow a retirement schedule of working 35-40 years then retiring to rest at home. Instead many baby boomers are now turning to second careers starting a new business and embracing new opportunities. Almost 19% of those over 65 or older are working at least part time. A study done by Merrill Lynch found 7 out of 10 retirees want to try something new in retirement. The new generation of retirees are more engaged and active in retirement. Some work for the money but many are not mone motivated. Three out of five retirees launch into a new line of work. My guest today is a retired detective from the LAPD, Ronald Jones, who decided his new career is rehabbing houses.
