Gone are the days when adults follow a retirement script and walk away from their jobs to sit back in a rocker. Baby boomers are now turning to second careers starting new businesses and embracing new opportunities. Almost 19% of those over 65 are working at least part time in retirement. A study done by Merrill Lynch found 7 out of 10 retirees want to try something new in retirement. The next generation of retirees are more engaged and alive in retirement. Some work for the money but many are not money motivated. 3 out of 5 retirees launch into a new line of work. Today, I am interviewing Kevin Dunigan Sr., a retired LAPD field training officer and his wife Yvonne Dunigan, a soon to be retired office manager. They decided to pursue buying a home and flipping it and reselling it for profit.
