Keith Thurman-Luis Collazo Mauricio Herrera vs. Hank Lundy Preview

This Saturday, ESPN will be broadcasting live from the USF Sundome in Tampa Bay Florida, as the WBA World Welterweight title will be on the line when Keith Thurman fights in front of his home crowd against Luis Collazo.

Keith “One Time” Thurman is a KO artist who will be stepping into the ring with an undefeated record of 25-0 with 21 KOs. Thurman has definitely stepped up his level of competition in the last two and half years, reeling off wins against Carlos Quintana, Jan Zaveck, Diego Chaves, Jesus Soto Karass, Leonard Bundu, and lastly Robert Guerrero back in March.

Light-welterweight Mauricio Herrera (21-5, 7 KO’s) says he will not be focusing on pleasing the judges when he takes on Hank Lundy (25-4-1, 12 KO’s) this Saturday at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California.

Herrera has been on the wrong end of two highly contentious decisions in the last eighteen months; against Danny Garcia (for his WBA Super and WBC World titles), and the young prospect Jose Benavidez. The argument could be made for both results going in his favour. It is impossible to say where his ill-luck comes from; an unpalatable style or a more malevolent source.
