Canelo Alvarez vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. took place last night and it was lackluster. However, boxing fans did have something to be ecstatic about, Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin in September is official. The fight we've all wanted is set in stone according to all parties involved.

The only thing left to decide is the venue with three locations being in the discussion. Does this fight being made help the sport of boxing? Did it save the sport from a lackluster and downright depressing night? 

Should the sport rejoice about last night or be skeptical?
