Homeschooling Online: Books and Videos For Teaching Children About Life

Religious schools teach religious thought for the purpose of instilling values.  It these teachings are often fear and punishment based. In creating new thought in children today, we are examining a collection of videos and books designed to elicit a new kind of discussion and understanding about life. Are parents ready to discuss such deep topics as life, death and eternity with their children. Let's talk about fathering: How can we bring fathers in to the parenting and homeschooling process? Can men talk about it? Questions men may be willing to discuss:

1. What kind of conversations did you ever have with your father about being a father yourself one day?

2. How did you feel when you first held your child in your arms? Happy? Afraid? Protective?

3. When your child does something you don't like, how do you correct their behavior?

4. Do you and the mother of your child agree on what to teach when it comes to fighting and self defense?

5. What do you want your children to think about you as a human being?

6. Do you think boys shoud be raised differently than girls? If so, how?
