Join us on Wednesday, May 10 @ 6pm EST for an important conversation on the adultification of black children with Anissa Durham, a multi-skilled journalist who uses a mix of social media, investigative reporting and photography to report on communities of color and neglected populations. Anissa is currently the health data reporter at Word In Black where she reports on healthcare inequities in the Black community. She is a 2022 - 2023 reporting Health Fellow at the University of Southern California, where she produced the Lost Innocence: The Adultification of Black Children series. She earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from National University. As a former general assignment reporter for inewsource, Anissa reported on historically neglected communities and systemic racism. She has also written about infrastructure, the criminal justice system, education and community reported stories.
