2020 was a year full of radical changes. From the worldwide George Floyd protests to the January 6th insurrection attempt at the US Capital, the United States has seen a 180 degree change in our political landscape. One major change that deserves some attention is the political schism between Black Men and Women, with the later going completely rogue for the Democratic Party. From Kamala Harris, the appointment of Katanji Brown- Jackson to Fani Willis, the last three years has given several Black women opportunities to move high up on the political and corporate totem poles, but has that really helped us as a race? Tonight we will discuss several of these notable women and the multiple missed opportunities to advance the culture for all Black people, instead of one specific gender.
