Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the big election victory in Virginia for the Democrat Party. The Democrats swept the top of the ticket by handlely winning the office's of Governor, Lietenant Governor, and Attorney General. In addition the democrats gained at least 15 seats in the House of Delegates, threatening a majority in that chamber for the first time since 2000 4 races are still too close to call. Included in the big win was Transgender candidate Danica Roem, who defeated long time Conservative Bob Marshall by nearly 10 points. The landslide win have Democrats confident that it's a rebuke of President Trump. Democrats also won the Governor's mansion in New Jersey. In a small consolation, Republicans won a special election for a US House seat in Utah bringing the GOP's national string to 5. In other election news, a story has rocked the campaign of Republican Senatorial nominee, Judge Roy Moore in Alabama. Allegations are that nearly 40 years ago, Moore solicited sexual contact with 2 minors when he was in his 30's. President Trump is finishing his Asian trip today in the Philippines. The President has already visited Japan, China, Vietnam, and South Korea. The President was seen chatting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The focus has been on trade, stability, and North Korea. Most have deemed the President's trip a huge success. Please join the discussion at 10:00 A.M.
