Good morning, today on The Meter we will cover the New Democrat Party of Exteremism! Kamala Harris has entered the race for President on a platform of all out soicliasm. Harris made the announcement admits a crowd of supporters in Oakland, CA where she proclaimed she will eliminate private health insurance companies in the name of Medicare for all. Progressives cheered the plan saying equality would be achieved. Good idea or a recipe for disaster? In New York, the legislature passed a new abortion bill that would allow for a mother to abort her baby seconds before birth. Under the procedure, the baby would be delivered and then injected with poison. Virginia Democrats were unanimous in an even more extreme bill that even after birth, the mother could abort. Gov. Ralph Northam (D) VA said on a TV interview with cameras blaring that they would comfort the new born, consoul the mother, and then end the life of the baby. Pro-life proponents explained this amounted to infanticide. The one seat majority Republican Party killed the bill in committee.  Also, Northam is under fire for a photo that surfaced of him in a KKK uniform or Black Face. The governor apologized but didn’t say which one he was. In a press conference Northam changed his story and said he wasn’t in the photo and that he would not resign. The message is loud and clear from both parties calling for him to step down. Is this the right move or should we forgive and forget? This Tuesday, Feb 5th, President Trump will deliver the State of the Union Address. The President is expected to make a pitch for a Border Wall, his successes over the last year, while many are speculating that the Democrats will be vocally opposing the President. The question is will President Trump build the Wall without funding via a national emergency?
