Good morning, today on The Meter, we will cover the passage of Joe Biden's Covid "relief plan". After long a mid-night debate, the Senate finally passed the $1.9T bill with Joe Manchin of West Virginia being the decisive vote. The bill will provide a $1,400 check to qualified individuals, extend unemployment benefits, with an additional $300 through September, and $57B for school reopening, although no time line was disclosed. The bill was passed with ZERO Republican votes for the 91% of the package that won't go toward Covid relief. What does this spending means for America? Also, does Manchin have newfound power that will divide the Democratic Party? The unemployment rate has dropped to 6.2% adding 379,000 jobs in February, higher than expected. The surge was powered by Red States who are rolling back mask mandates and social distancing requirements that earned Texas governor Greg Abbott to be called a Neanderthal by Joe Biden. Thus far, 14 states have already removed or have set a date to reduced covid-19 mandates. Is this dangerous or overdue? Again, there is a crises at the border as migrants, wearing BIDEN LET US IN shirts have arrived in the tens of thousands. White House Press Secretary, Jen Psaki refused to address the situation at the border as a crisis even after a SUV accident claimed the lives of 8 illegal aliens after entering America illegally and fleeing border patrol. Is Biden mishandling the border by biting off more than he can chew? We will also have updates on Virginia 2021 elections. Please join the discussion at 10:00 AM. The call-in number is 347-308-8933. Your input is essential.
