Spring training has officially ended. The Mets made news, as you might expect. Edwin Diaz is lost for the season because of a freak injury at the WBC. How will the Mets try to fill the void left by the best closer in baseball? Francisco Alvarez, Brett Baty, and Mark Vientos are not coming north with the team. Darin Ruf, Daniel Vogelbach, and Eduardo Escobar will be on the opening day roster, but for how long? Are the Mets ready to go further than they did last year, and perhaps bring a long-awaited title to Queens?
