Karen is a creator of characters and children's programs, an author, teacher, Learning Disabilities Specialist and Entrepreneur. She has over forty years experience in the field of education. Karen earned a B.S. Degree from Boston University in Special and Elementary Education. She had nine years of classroom experience both in elementary and special education before going on to a Master's Degree in Learning Disabilities at Rowan University. She was awarded a grant from the NJ State Department of Education and created an education program for children with cancer at Cooper Hospital. As the director of a new Learning Center for Britannica for three years, she established a successful business using the CJ program as a marketing incentive and as part of the academic program. She has eighteen years experience as a Learning Disabilities Specialist in various positions, the last three as a consultant in early childhood centers.
