EXTRA INNINGS: East Carolina wins the Greenville Regional!

After suffering a shocking 5-4 loss to Quinnipiac on Saturday, No. 10 East Carolina posted four dominant victories in less than 36 hours to win the Greenville Regional and advance to the program's fifth Super Regional! The Pirates (47-16) defeated Campbell twice on Monday (10-3 and 12-3) to advance this weekend's Super Regional at No. 7 Louisville. That Best of Three series will begin on Friday with the Pirates and Cardinals squaring off at Noon EST at Jim Patterson Stadium on ESPN2. East Carolina outscored NC State (9-2), Quinnipiac (13-3) so when combined with the Campbell wins, the Pirates outscored the opposition by a 44-11 tally.
