Our Women of Influence Series continues as we welcome bright, intelligent and new reporter for 21 News in Youngstown, Ohio; Sydney Canty. Sydney join us for this week's show as she is celebrating 6months on her new job, and her new career as a news reporter. She is such an energetic and enthusiastic young lady that is passionate and determined to fulfiil her dreams. Listening to her share her stories about her first time in the field and almost getting a speeding ticket, and getting harrassed by a horse at a carnival, to sharing her insights about the lessons she's already learned in just 3months on the job, is nothing short of amazing. This is definitely an interview you don't want to miss. A mentee of iconic award winning journalist Carolyn Clifford from WXYZ Channel 7 in Detroit, Sydney is forever grateful for Carolyn's mentorship, guidance and support in helping her fulfiling her life long dream of becoming a news reporter. We salute Carolyn Clifford for not just what she has done for Sydney, but for what she has done for many other young reporters just like her. We definitely need more Women of Influence just like her.
