Michelle Perzan was born March 31st, 1971 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada to Elmer and Gemma Trakalo. She is the youngest of four children. Growing up in Thunder Bay she was surrounded by tons of family, and friends. After graduating from Ontario Business College with a degree in Business Administration majoring in accounting she went back to work for her father’s company Wizard’s Stereo, then moved on to Pierce Floorcraft, eventually ending up at the Ontario Gaming & Lottery Commission working in a casino first as a dealer, then, pit boss, and finally as a Customer Service trainer. Here is where she got her taste for an underlying passion of helping bringing the best out of people and coaching them to better their careers and goals. After marrying her husband Aaron in fall of 2004, they moved west to Okotoks, Alberta due to Aaron’s work. Michelle decided to dedicate her time to being a full time mom to begin raising their first son Daniel. In 2007 Aaron was made an offer to move to the United States. They made the long journey to the wonderful state of Texas and set up home in beautiful Bayview, TX. In February 2014, while her mother was in hospice with metastasized bone cancer, she herself was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. The day after her diagnosis Michelle made a promise to never let her feet touch the ground without first starting her day with thankfulness.During her journey with breast cancer she began recording her journey, thoughts, and experiences. This set the pace for her book Strength in My Storm: Faith & Breast Cancer that was released in October 2016. After several surgeries, rounds of trial medications, and various battles along the way, she decided it was time to share her story, and yet again, she began to uncover that hidden passion for people and helping
