Our Sprirtual Battle Part 1

AN ISSUE THAT THE CHURCH, AND THE WORLD, IS GOING TO HAVE AN INCREASING STRUGGLE WITH, ESPECIALLY AS WE DRAW CLOSER TO THE RETURN OF THE LORD, IS THE ISSUE OF SPIRITUAL CONFLICT. THIS SERIES TAKES A CLOSE LOOK AT WHAT PUTTING ON THE AROMOR OF GOD MEANS.

You need to know that missiles are going to come, and they'll be an appeal to your flesh or an appeal to your eyes or an appeal to your ego, and those will be the ways that he'll come.  And here's the application:  darts of doubt and deception must be immediately met by the shield of faith.  And you say, "Well, what do you mean?  Picture that for me, Chip.  I don't get it."  That means you do this:  your active, present, active application of the truth to your personal situation as soon as you recognize a dart has been received.  See, often when this happens, you're not sure where it came from.  But to hold up the shield of faith is – as soon as that comes, you take a specific truth of Scripture and hold up the shield of faith to deal with that issue.
