Pastor Byron Sago, was raised in Natchez, Mississippi. He graduated from Natchez High School in 1993. Pastor Sago enlisted in the United States Army in January of 1997 where he served for over 23 years. Throughout his military career, he served at numerous stateside army units as well as in, Stuttgart and Bamberg Germany. Pastor Sago retired as a First Sergeant in July of 2018. Pastor Sago began his true walk with God in 2010. He was ordained as a Deacon at Bethesda Fellowship Ministries in Copperas Cove, Texas. He accepted the call to preach in 2012 after a redeployment from Afghanistan and was licensed in July 2014 at Bethesda Fellowship Ministries under the leadership of Bishop (Dr.) R. Ray Gatewood. He received a diploma in Pastoral Ministry in April of 2020 from Bethesda Theological Institute and Seminary in Copperas Cove, Texas. Pastor Sago has served as an Adjutant to the Presiding Bishop of Concord Fellowship of Churches International; Bishop R. Ray Gatewood. Youth Minister at New Beginnings Revival Center in Waynesville Missouri as well as Bethesda Fellowship Ministries. In these positions he mentored youth of all ages. He also served as the Nursing Home Ministry Leader for New Beginnings Revival Center in Waynesville Missouri.
On November 8th, 2019 Pastor Sago took a leap of faith and established Light Of Hope Fellowship Ministries, an interdenominational church in Harker Heights, Texas. Light Of Hope Fellowship Ministries was founded on Discipleship and to “Take God’s Word To The Streets”.
His hobbies include all types of sports, walking, classic cars, his family and most importantly his passion for God’s Word and God’s People. Pastor Sago and his wife, the former LaTonya Lavell White, of Natchez, Mississippi have been married for over 25 years. They have two children; Malcolm and Ebony.
