Peter Greenberg interviews locals in the Northern California city of Redding. Located about 150 miles north of San Francisco, some consider Redding to be the "real" NorCal. In this podcast, Greenberg is joined by Gerry Gray, Redding's Deputy Fire Chief, explains what he means when he calls Redding a “gem.” Hint: it has to do with something unexpected at the airport. Greenberg also talks about his own experience as a fire man, having been a volunteer fire fighter since he was 18-years-old.
