This week, Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from from a capital city with a great history that few have visited—Bismarck, North Dakota, at the North Dakota Heritage Center. Joining Peter will be Eileen Andes, Chief of Interpretation & Public Affairs of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, discussing how President Roosevelt’s love of adventure brought him to North Dakota. Of course, part of that history includes Native Americans. Dakota Goodhouse, Native American Expert and Writer and Editor of The First Scout, talks about Native American legends, including the importance and mysticism of wind in Native American culture. Cliff Naylor, reporter at KFYR-TV, shares some of the quirky stories from his travels throughout the state, including a true North Dakota invention, the dog powered washing machine. There’s all of this and more as Travel Today with Peter Greenberg comes from the North Dakota Heritage Center in Bismarck, North Dakota.
