In the new testament (new law), Jesus Christ was allegorically crucified at a place called Golgotha The Bible tells us that Christ was crucifixion without the gate" (Heb. xiii, 12), "nigh to the city" (John xix, 20), at a place called Golgotha (Matt, xxvii, 33).

The word "allegorically or in allegory" is a method of writing, that conceals the true spiritual meaning from the profane. The word profane means the uninitiated, and the word Golgotha means the place of the skull. Hence, the story of Jesus being nailed to a cross, dying, and then being resurrected, is allegorical in nature and not a story to be taken literally.
