This is a double bind that we as Africans have become all too familiar with as illogical rules and unwritten regulations by the bureaucracy continue to dictate our behavior. Baba Kentu is a Seboyet or Wisdom Instructor who has been assisting others in maximizing their potential for over 15 years. He is also an educational psychologist who has been practicing over the last 10 years and whose interests range from working with gifted individuals to those on the Autism spectrum. Baba Kentu holds an educational specialists degree in school psychology, a masters in educational psychology, and a certification in behavior analysis. He is also the president of the California Association of Black School Psychologists and the Society for the Advancement of African Thought. Baba Kentu has delivered lectures and workshops throughout the country on various topics such as hekau (magic), education law, and the effective educational practices for students of African descent. Lastly, Baba Kentu is owner of the Djed Institute of Learning, a private learning organization that provides african centered education to learners wherever they are whenever they want it.
