Meet Tamika Hamilton GOP Candidate California’s 3rd Congressional District. Tamika Hamilton is the Republican candidate for Congress in California's third congressional district challenging Democrat John Garamendi. Tamika Hamilton is a mother, a wife, and an American. A member of the Air Force for the last 16 years, she has decided to further her commitment to the Nation and Community by running for Congress. She served her country in two deployments in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Tamika takes an active role in her local church, homeless ministry, and veteran/nursing home. These experiences forced her to view her community in a different light. Tamika was able to witness first-hand the government overreach, inaction on issues, and high taxes.
