David Fanucchi had a front row seat in watching the 2000 USA Baseball Team win the Gold Medal at the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia

Fanucchi served as the Director of Communications for USA Baseball during that historic win and he shares the behind-the-scenes look of how it all came together in his book, "Miracle on Grass" that was published in November 2012.

It is the true story of how an unknown squad of American minor leaguers stunned the international baseball powerhouse from Cuba, at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. In the gold medal game, Team USA pulled off the greatest upset in Olympic baseball history.

It can be purchased on Amazon.com.

"In Miracle on Grass, Fanucchi has captured the emotion that our entire team shared in Sydney, and has given readers an inspirational portrayal of our gold medal victory. It was a pleasure to work with him during the Olympics and again on this book. With this incredible story, you won’t be disappointed.” – Team USA Manager Tommy Lasorda
