Marylyn R. Harris, RN, MSN, MBA, CC is a highly accomplished Healthcare Professional (Nurse- RN), Social Entrepreneur, Educator and Cybersecurity Practitioner. Harris is a  U.S. Army Gulf War Veteran, with over thirty (30) years of experience as a Veterans Advocate. Harris served eleven (11) years in the U.S. Army. In 1990, she was deployed to Saudi Arabia  to support Operation Desert Shield/Storm. During the war she worked as a Nurse Supervisor in a Field Hospital's Medical Intensive Care Unit and provided Nursing care to U.S. and allied servicemembers and POWs. She returned 'forever changed' from the War and was honorably discharged from the Army in 1992. Marylyn transitioned to a successful career in Healthcare and Educarion and started a Healthcare/HIT Consulting Firm in 2007, Harrland Healthcare Consulting, LLC. Presently, Harrland Company is "rebranding" and evolving into a Healthcare Cybersecurity Firm. In 2010, Ms. Harris and her children, Jamaar and Amaara, also started the counry's first Women Veterans Business Center(WVBC). The mission of the WVBC is, "to educate and Women Veterans (and Military Families) to start and grow 'wealth-generaaatiang' Veteran-Owned Businesses." Ms. Harris' efforts launched a national movement of Women Veteran-Owned Businesses throughout the U.S. and abroad. In 2013, she was honored at the White House by President Barack Obama for this pivotal work. Today, Ms. Harris holds leadership roles in both companies and serves with many Veteran organizations.
