Fuck A Month

Upon closing this month out I was questioned on why we (Vibrate Higher), didn’t celebrate ‘Black History Month’ and teach the history of those that came before us. Or, if we planned on celebrating... It’s a must you educate yourself, but here on Vibrate Higher, we release downloads on our own time. Speaking of “Black History Month’, what does black mean? Is it my/our job to teach history when our-story is being written now? Not that I’m not grateful for the knowledge history has left behind, but again, it’s happening now! What’s a month? The shortest month at that! Why are people so proud to learn or be labeled as ‘The First Black’ anything, when we are the creators of everything known to man. None of this shit is new! We've been here! Them white muthafuckas gave us Obama as reparations and they constantly laugh in the face of our people. Instead of putting yourself in chains and crying making Facebook posts make a damn change! If you muthafuckas really cared or wanted to correct the damage, you would give our names back. If slavery was abolished, why do we still rock our slave masters’ last names? Step outside the box of comfortability and let’s take over the world! Muthafuckas do all that talking about standing front line for this life, we’ll step out of the past to enhance our future. I ain’t asking you to forget a damn thing but use that same energy to really get to the finish line. We ain’t doing this shit for nothing and they know it.
