Welcome to Blog Talk Radio.  Today's program is about the ART of Communicating with Infants and Young Children.  Infants, even before birth are feeling, sensing beings!  What we say to them and how we treat them matters!  The body holds an imprint of all that takes place.  Years ago I wrote a booklet on this topic, The ART of Communicating with Infants and Young Children. Today I'll share excerpts from that booklet on simple ways of listening to and communicating with them.  In the 1990's I had the honor of studying with Magda Gerber, author of Dear Parent.  Her work continues on and is known by RIE, Resources for Infant Educarers.  Magda's foundational principle was to show RESPECT to the little ones in a very profound way.   Tune in!
