Listening To Children: The 10 Minute Miracle

Welcome to Blog Talk Radio and the Voice of Change.  Today I will share with you a process that I've used with children over the last 50 + years. It's called the 10 Minute Miracle and it's all about listening to children.  The need for this first spontaneously arose when I was a day camp counselor over 50 years ago, a one of the children in my weekly group, ran off when she was in her art class with another counselor.  They came and asked me if I would talk to her.  That began what I now call the 10 Minute Miracle.  And the process has continued ever since, growing and changing as needed.  I've used it in the classroom numerous times as well as with my children.  Today, I'll share a variety of stories about how it was used along with the various steps it entails.
