Dottie The Pittie W/Daniel Self & Megan Newton

Hi I’m dottiethepittie or Dottie for short. I live out in the country with my forever dad Dan. Life is cushy, with chasing balls in the yard, going for runs, going on boat rides, and occasionally in the pond for sticks. My life wasn’t always this way, because for the first 8 months of my life I was abused, starved, and abandoned. On March 15th 2015, my very bad owner decided that I was too much of a burden and released me from his care. This is where Dan comes in. It was snowing and I was freezing and I saw him walking his 2 little dogs and figured that I wanted that kind of life. So I followed them and when they went to their backyard, I followed them there too. He gave me food, water and a warm crate to sleep in. The next day, he gave me a bath while he was trying to figure out what to do with me. After calling everyone he thought might be able to take care of me, he decided that he couldn’t risk any more harm to me, so he adopted me. He rescued me, but I always say I rescued him. 4 years later and I am still here with Dan. We live out in the country now, and I just love the peace and quiet, and all the animals I come in contact with on a daily basis. I now manage the group The Pitbull Group and try to spread awareness and help other underprivileged like myself. Well that’s about all I have to say for now.
