“Your imagination can play tricks on you”    2 Corinthains 10:2-5

2 Corinthians 10:3-5

 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

This scripture is saying even though we live in this fleshly body, we do not fight according to the world which is described in the bible as lust of the flesh, lust of the eye and the pride of life which is human standards.   The scripture is letting us know there is a war going on and the war is between our flesh and our spirit. As long as we live in the body of flesh where sin dwells, we will crave fleshly things, but the spirit will yarn for the things of God which is spiritual.  This war is actively taking place every second of our lives. This war is fought in the board room of our minds. Our mind is either taking to us to do something or talking us out of doing something.

Proverbs 23:7 says So as a man thinketh, so is he.  We are what we think..  The way that we think can either help us or hurt us.   If we allow our thoughts to be governor by Satan or world standards, we will only be concerned with the desires of the flesh.

2 Corinthians 10:4   For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds;

2 Corinthians 10:5   Casting down imagination and every high thing the exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought into the obedience of Christ.
