“God loves us in spite of who we are, because of who He is.”  Ephesians 2:1-10

God cannot love us no more than He loves us now. Why does God love us?  This short question is among the most profound questions ever asked, and no human would ever be able to answer it sufficiently. One thing is certain, God does not love us because we are lovable, obedience, forgiving, kind or because we deserve His love. If anything, the opposite is true. We are so hard on ourselves and can never enter total rest in God, because we really don’t understand the Love of God.  God loves you when you study more or if you study less, the amount you give or do not give, these things benefit you. Nothing you can do can make God more God for He is the complete essences of Love. Even though God is love He also gives judgment, issues His wrath, angers, jealous, and will exhibit fury, and yes, He is love. Remember the children of Israel. God loves you when you are obedient or disobedient, there are consequences in place for that, changed their circumstances, but not His Love for them. God also told us in Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Your salvation is secured, the Holy Spirit is living inside of you and Jesus died for you.  That should be enough to give you rest and peace.  God loves us because He is our Father, and we are his children. God has and always love us in spite of and not because of.

Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
