YOUR VOTE MATTERS

Did you know that only about 60% of people who can vote, actually do? Often it’s less. I know that people get discouraged and feel like it won’t matter. But it does matter! Many of the programs and services we count on to take care of our families exist because people fought to create them and keep them running. And it’s our privilege to choose these people. Our vote helps shape the world we live in and the services that will help our kids have a good life.

Our Guest speaker is Dana Clah.

She was born off her Reservation in the suburbs of Chicago. Dana is Ojibwe and Anglo. She has 1 daughter Dineh Clah and her Father Darrell Clah is Navajo.

Dana has her diploma in Theology and is currently in her senior year at Liberty University Accepted into the Justice program. Studying Criminal Justice/Criminal Psychology.

Dana worked for 10 years in Colorado (The Four Corners) working with the Southern Ute Tribal Court. She participated on the Wellness Court Team, taught Strengthening Families, Positive Indian Parenting and Anger Management. She also taught Relationship Education and Risk Avoidance in La Plata County School District.

 Dana and her family had a therapeutic foster home specializing in kids with trauma. They used their horses in counseling with the foster kids. They engaged in cultural activities to help the kids heal.

In her free time Dana loves sports, horses and family time. Dana is a Justice Ambassador For Prison Fellowship and leads groups through Outrageous Justice and enjoys being a support to those who are incarcerated and their families. She is a voice for restorative justice in her State of Florida.
