Dorian Swinton is an educator, musical artist, and entrepreneur. He was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and his love for music, writing, and helping others started at an early age. Swinton graduated from Florida A&M University with a Bachelor’s in English, and Grand Canyon University with a Master’s in Educational Administration. Swinton worked for 11 years at AMIkids Tallahassee, a school for students in the Florida Juvenile Justice System, where he taught English and Reading for 6 years before being promoted to Director of Education for 5 years.

He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2015 to advance his career in education. He currently works as an Instructional Coach at Price Middle School (PBSA). Another reason for his transition to Atlanta, GA was for the purpose of pursuing his musical talents as an artist under his performance stage name, D. SWINT.

D. SWINT, the Urban R&B Soul Contemporary singer/songwriter, has released two urban-contemporary inspirational EPs, UrbanNeoGospelSoul volumes 1 & 2 as well as numerous singles. D. SWINT has been a featured performer on numerous stages in Atlanta, GA such as Apache Cafe, Kat's Cafe, Showtime at The Exclusive, Soul Food ATL, Timeless ATL, The Underground Chapel, Live in the Living Room, and the Open Mic Variety Show.

D. SWINT has been nominated for ATL's Hottest Award-Hottest Male Vocalist, and he was the winner of the EDDY Award for Outstanding Neo Soul Male Indie Artist.

Swinton recently launched Swint Stylez Urban Apparel, an apparel brand that specializes in inspirational and motivational messages, as well as DSTutoring, a one-on-one highly interactive virtual tutoring platform.
