- U.S. condemns 'barbaric' attack on innocents at Ukraine children's hospital!  The United States on Wednesday condemned as "barbaric" the bombing of a children's hospital in Ukraine, where officials said a Russian air strike buried patients in rubble despite a ceasefire deal for people to flee the besieged city of Mariupol. The attack, which authorities said injured women in labor and left children in the wreckage, is the latest grim incident of the 14-day invasion, the biggest assault on a European state since 1945. The United States on Wednesday closed the door on supplying combat aircraft to Ukraine, saying the intelligence community assessed it would be a "high risk" move that could increase the chances of a Russian escalation with NATO.

-  The swift US rejection of a Polish plan to get MiG-29 fighter jets into Ukraine is the clearest example yet of the complications that the US and its NATO allies face trying to help Ukraine defend itself against Russia's brutal assault while ensuring they don't get dragged into a wider war. The negotiations fell apart almost as quickly as they came together.

- Oil prices fall most in 2 years as UAE supports output hike. Global oil prices fell on Wednesday by the most in nearly two years after OPEC member the United Arab Emirates said it supported pumping more oili nto a market roiled by supply disruptions due to sanctions on Russia after it invaded Ukraine.
