On Tuesday, Barack Obama gave his much-heralded and highly-anticipated State of the Union Address, where he outlined his furthered visiion and agenda.
He spoke eloquently about Immigration, the Minimum Wage and Women's Pay Parity. Strangely absent, was any mention of the Black Community (if I'm wrong,I stand corrected).
Not surprising, and as the saying goes, "the beat goes one ...".
Apparently, some activists in Chicago, Obama's home state, are begnning to understand what some have known for some time. Barack Obama has no plan, agenda or concern for the black community.I
In the meantime, Obama in his SOTUA stated a half-hearted invitation to Congress to work with him or else - he'll act alone, via Executive Orders, one of which, covers raisng the minimum wage for new federal workers.
Governor Andrew Cuomo,still pulsating from his victory a few years back, has realll thown down the gauntlet. In a speech he gave recently, he reportedly declared that there is no place in New York State (maaa territory) for those who hold socially conservative views ( I'm reminded of the Holy Qur'an's guidance, "... is not the earth spacious?..."}.
