It was about 30 minutes into last week’s program, when I realized I’d been talking to myself – forgot to unmute my own phone.
And frankly, I thought Critical Discourse went along quite well.
This Saturday, I want to rehash some of what I said about Justice Thomas. Why he seems to be such a controversial and polarizing figure. As I said with aplomb, his critics dislike him because he’s a conservative, but hate him because he’s dark-skinned, which is pretty much consistent how the public tends to react to personalities such as Herman Cain, Alan Keyes, Allen West and Condi Rice.
I again, want to discuss Thomas’ statements on race, where according to liberal pundits, has become increasingly oblivious to the historic (some say present) realities of black life in America.
We want to continue the discussion on the unacceptable levels of obesity among black women.
We really didn’t get a chance to speak too much into Attorney General Holder’s assertion that ex-convicts should be allowed to vote, and that somehow, this denial is rooted in a ploy to disenfranchise black people.
Will Barack Obama ever address the white-black income and wealth gaps?
That Michael Dunn shot and killed Jordan Davis, is of no dispute. That he's been sentenced to 60 years in prison, efftictively for life, is of no dispute. Why then, do many see the jury's decision as an injustice?
One of our regular callers took exception to my playing my “anthem”, I Won’t Back Down. Well, given it’s been played in response to governor Cuomo’s insistence that social conservatives should leave New York, I’m just not ready yet, to migrate, but am reminded in the Holy Qur’an, that indeed Allah’s earth is most spacious.
This and more, God-Willing, this Saturday on Critical Discourse!
