No, not the Prophets of God (Prayers and Peace be Upon Them).

It got intense yesterday with U.S. Representatives Darrell Issa (R. –Calif.) and Elijah Cummings (D. – Mary.).

During the House Oversight and Government Reform committee’s hearings on alleged IRS targeting conservative groups, its Chairman, Darryl Issa, decided to adjourn, after former IRS official, Lois Lerner, invoked the “5th”.

According to whom you believe, though arguably, the “videotape” should clear all confusion, Rep. Issa “shut down the Democrats”, when it seems that due his frustration of the 5th being invoked 11 times, shut off Ms. Lerner.

But, what I see hear, is a boiling-point of great and acrimonious contention, between not just two strongly-committed and passionate individuals, but a reflection of serious ideological divisions throughout Washington, the nation and the world.

“Can’t we all get along”? Don’t know.

But I do know that there are some serious issues abound, and if the IRS was used to target those groups who by ideology, are at odds with this president, then we all should be concerned.

Yet, civility in discourse should be the goal.

Should ex-convicts be allowed to vote?

Are they suddenly, the “victims” of a nefarious plot to disenfranchise (seems to be the new “word of the day”) them, and even worse, black ex-convicts being the primary targets?

Much to review and discuss on
