1. Finish high school or GED
2. Finish college
3. Decide if you want to be a lawyer
4. Decide what type of lawyer you might want to be
5. Write a "purpose letter" (see if you really mean it)
6. Apply to law schools
7. Get accepted to the best school and one that meets your career goals
8. Finish law school
9. Pass bar exam
10. Get sworn in
