Billy Neal Musician Saint Louis Next On Author Larry Toombs Gospel Radio Show

Billy Acey Neal began his professional carear in music at the age of 23. Performing with the likes of Nina Samone, Albert King, Mel & Tim and Oliver Sain a native of the rich Saint Louis Area, he was elected to be in the first black expo in 1973 as a member of the rock group Eddie fisher & The 3rd cup. Paul Larkins, who was the xylophine player for Eddie Fisher & The Third Cup would begin to groom Billy Neal. which would later lead to him going on tour in Memphis Tennessee, singing as the lead singer and becoming a producer at the age of 30. Billy then turned his attention to jazz. He was introduced to the late jazz guitarist Richard Martin who played with Buddy Miles. a singer and drummer who also played with Jimmy Hendrix. Later Billy would be introduced to other artists such as Denise Williams, Ready Freddie Washington and Ike Turner Jr. the late Karla cunningham along with late Q.C. Lady D a pular recording artist, they teamed up to go on tour.After the tour Lady D got a record deal with JC&E for Billy, Ike jr., Karla and and Charletta Hill.then they formed the new name of the group Rescue Charity and recorded, "Too Many Mind Shaken Up," which hit no 15 on the WESL radio charts.in East Saint Louis. The famous Tony Pullham disck jockey help opened the door for Bily Neal to write and play guitar for the fusion group. "Kadabra", which had just signed a record deal with Hot Lanta Records In Atlanta Georgia. The record "Reflect Effect" and Just Another Avenue made the top 40 in the in the fusion jazz grouup category. and it featured "Kadabra in Billboards Magazines In 1982 Billy recieved salvation through Jesus Christ after the power testimony that Denise williams shared with him.then he movd back to Saint Louis M.0. and begin ministering the word of God through writing and singing, Billy reformed The Rescue Charity Singers and Joined the Saint Louis Bible Tones
