Retired Pastor Christopher Bassett On The Author Larry Toombs Gospel Radio Show

Christopher Bassett is retired pastor for 25 years, retired military chaplin with 36 years of service deployments to both Iraq and Afganistan and a police chaplin of 10 years with his city police department. Early in his career he served 15 years as a Sheriff Deputy, detective and major police force.Chris received his master of Divinity degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2002 and his Doctor Of Ministry Degree from Liberty University in 2021. he recently published a study in first responders Chaplins and Burnout. He is also a major trainer in suicide. Chris moved to 2022 from Washington State to Florida, where resides with his wife, Cheri, enjoying ministry in his local church and selling his book."Weary, Burdened, and Burned Out." A book written for ministers on the subject of burnout but applicable for pretty much anyone. He has four adult children who are exploring their own careers, and he is grandfather to Milo and Merceline and a third on the way. Chris enjoys, weightlifting, Taekwondo, teaching Bible studies, hanging out on the beach and dating his beautiful wife. He travels regularly to Tanzania where he teaches at a school for pastors. He hopes to continue writing and speaking to minsters about burnout, suicide intervention, fourth dimensional faith, and many others topics related to our identity in Jesus Christ.
