Despite no sign of a natural ability, Sandy trained to be a spiritual healer with a non-religious UK charity that works to professional standards. After nine years of experience, she approached a consultant physician at an NHS hospital, who welcomed her offer to give healing to his patients.

Sandy devised hospital audits that revealed that the vast majority of 267 patients benefited considerably. Despite being highly sceptical that healing could help them, improvements were retained for at least a week after their single 20-minute healing session. Dr Singh was intrigued by the broad range of positive responses, some of which were immediate, dramatic and permanent.

Since writing her book Spiritual Healing in Hospitals and Clinics, Sandy has been working to raise awareness that almost anyone can learn to give healing and everyone can benefit.
